Recon-Navigation System

The Recon-Navigation System is an innovative advanced electronic navigation system providing enhanced situational awareness for the DPD.  Now with a Doppler capability the RNAV enables the DPD to perform highly accurate navigation for long distance missions.  The RNAV allows automatic switching between the Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), Global Positioning System (GPS), and Inertial Navigations System (INS) depending on data quality to minimize position errors.
